Dr. Ryan received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont. She completed internship at the Medical University of South Carolina and the Charleston VAMC and moved to Maine in 2010 to complete postdoctoral training at Maine Medial Center and the Center for Tobacco Independence of MaineHealth.
Dr. Ryan is a licensed clinical psychologist who works primarily with adolescents and adults, providing individual and couples therapy. Dr. Ryan’s primary treatment approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and she incorporates Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy principles as appropriate. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma, grief/loss, substance abuse, relationship difficulties, and health behavior change (weight loss, living more active life, etc).
