Dr. Corbett is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides therapy services for individuals, couples, and families. She is trained as a generalist and guides people through a variety of concerns such as depression, grief/loss, relationship/family problems, career issues, anxiety, and more. Dr. Corbett specializes in reproductive health psychology and sees women and couples who may be struggling with issues such as infertility, miscarriage, pregnancy/birth complications, postpartum depression, and the transition to parenthood. In addition to therapy services, Dr. Corbett also provides comprehensive psychological evaluation and testing for concerns related to Learning Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
Dr. Corbett’s approach to her clinical work is a very relational one. She is genuine, active, and compassionate in sessions and strives to build relationships with clients that offer them safety and comfort to be themselves. Dr. Corbett is guided largely by Interpersonal and Psychodynamic theories, though flexibly incorporates techniques and interventions from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Practices, and Humanistic Theory to best meet clients’ unique needs.
Dr. Corbett received her Doctorate from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Prior to graduate school, Dr. Corbett attended Smith College and receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Education. She was born and raised in Portland and, after more than a decade away receiving her training, is happy to back in the area.
